The first edition of the hunting and fishing tourism fair was held from 5th to 8th September 1996 in the Graberje sports hall in Varaždin.
In the first years, the organizer of the Fair was the Tourist Board of the City of Varaždin, while Vall 042 company was the executive organizer, and the director of the company, Borislav Šimenc, coordinated the event production as the director of the fair. After several years, the position of sole organizer was taken over by the company Vall 042, and continued its development until today's Nature, Hunting, Fishing, Tourism Fair, which will experience its 26th edition in September 2023.
Since 1997, the fair has traditionally been held at the beginning of October in the City Sports Hall of Graberje, and the location was changed for the 14th edition of the fair in 2009 after the construction of the new Varaždin Sports Hall Arena, located in the appropriate hunting and fishing environment of forests and along the Drava river, where it is still held today.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the fair was not held in 2020 and 2021
The only company that participated as an exhibitor at all 25 editions of the fair is Croatian ammunition manufacturer - company M-90 d.o.o.
