As part of this year's Fair, we will, for the first time, feature an exhibition by Josip Horvat titled "Native, Endemic, and Exotic Freshwater Fish Species".
Josip Horvat has already gained a reputation as the author of four books and numerous exhibitions with natural themes, and at the fair, he will present his research work, the result of ten years of fieldwork.
The exhibition will showcase more than 70 species of freshwater fish through 35 panels (70 x 50 cm), located in the indoor part of the fair hall.
What the exhibition presents: Blue color represents native species, green indicates endemic species, while red signals exotic and invasive species. Each dot on the artwork represents approximately 10 centimeters of fish length. An impressive discovery is the catfish with 25 dots, which equals a length of 2.5 meters!
Horvat emphasizes the importance of researching natural fish habitats, preserving the environment, and returning all documented fish back to the water. The exhibition is more than just photography – it’s a call to preserve our natural wealth and biodiversity!
Join us at the fair and discover the fascinating world of freshwater fish through beautiful photos that will captivate you. See you there!
